Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Darron Gibson will start Manchester United's Champions League Group B encounter with Besiktas at Old Trafford.
Gibson will be among a number of changes to the team which beat Everton at the weekend, with Gabriel Obertan tipped to start his first European tie.
Young strikers Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda will both be on the bench at least but Rio Ferdinand (back), Jonny Evans (calf) and John O'Shea (ankle) have all been ruled out.
United have already qualified for the knockout phase of the tournament, but can almost certainly seal their status as group winners with victory over the Turkish side.
Bestiktas are likely to give the nod to Brazilian striker Bobo up front, while veteran keeper Rustu Recber may be recalled in goal.
Ismail Koybasi and Nihat Kahveci are struggling with injury, and Filip Holoslo, Hakan Arkan and Mert Nobre are all out along with the suspended Tomas Sivok.

hanuman your saying that if we didnt beat man city or arsenal we'd be worse than livepool!? how exactly? liverpool are desperate the moment and united are miles better than them! so what if united cudnt beat liverpool! they didnt beat them at all last season and yet we still won the league! this time last year united were 5 points behind the leaders and its the same this year dont write them off just cos they dont have ronaldo anymore! they said the same with roy keane, ruud van nistelrooy and david beckham! united always bounce back and as for 18 years without a league! no way! all they need is a good central midfielder and they have a brilliant squad capable of winning the league!
OMG bulls it blue dreamers on here.
More chance of city getting double relegated again than them winning anything.
Although they are obviously a bigger team than the mighty scousers.
32 years and rolling blue bin dippers
Hanuman, I think you're the one who looks like couldn't face the fact of how good Man Utd even without Ronny... you maybe expect them to crumble, but yet we're at 2nd place even with our poor performance by our own standard... need three posts in the row just to address your opinion/feelings? that's too much of facing reality, aren't they??
them scousers have 5 i am jealous and think city will have 5 before we will
city are making huge strides to dethrown us i am worried so much
