Mixed emotions for Tisdale

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale had mixed emotions after his side fought back from a goal down to claim a 1-1 draw against Millwall at a wet and windy St James' Park.

Substitute Adam Stansfield was the Grecians' hero when his attempted cross two minutes from time drifted over the head of visiting goalkeeper David Forde and went in off the far post.

That goal had cancelled out David Martin's penalty for the Lions which he rammed straight down the middle of the goal after winning it himself after being fouled by Bertie Cozic inside the box.

The Grecians were then reduced to 10 men after Steve Tully saw red for two bookable offences, but they rescued a point to extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

Tisdale said: "I'm delighted, but I said to the players afterwards that I feel a mixture of emotions. I don't know if I'm cross, happy, sad, miserable, delighted. I'm disappointed we didn't get a winner in the last two minutes because I thought we could have done.

"It was a farce of a game because of the conditions, but to come out of it with a point after being down to 10 men and being a goal down, I think we'll take that."
