Cristiano Ronaldo believes Manchester United can look forward with confidence to challenging on three fronts for the remainder of the season.Sir Alex Ferguson's side still harbour ambitions of retaining their Premier League title not to mention regaining the Champions League.
First of all though there is the small matter of an FA Cup match against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Ronaldo could break his seasonal scoring record for the club, which stands at 23 goals.
But he is quick to give credit to his team-mates and is convinced that United are tougher opponents than last term because of the additions made to the squad.
He said: "We have great new players like Anderson, Nani, Tevez and Hargreaves.
"That is fantastic for us. Now we have a good chance in the league, the Champions League and the cup.
"We have a very good team and confidence is high among the players."
Ronaldo is also excited that Paul Scholes is on his way back following a three-month absence after a knee operation.
The former England midfielder could be on the bench in the fourth round game.
Ronaldo said: "He is a fantastic player - a key player in many games. He helps the team a lot.
"You learn many things from him as he is a mature player and has been at United a long time.
"It is always fantastic to play alongside someone of his quality."
United prepared for the cup clash with a four-day break in Saudi Arabia where they played in a testimonial match last Monday.
Ronaldo is hoping they can benefit from some warm-weather training and dispose of a Tottenham side who dismantled Arsenal 5-1 in midweek to reach the Carling Cup final.
He said: "It has been a different week but a good one in some ways. We played one game and trained twice.
"Now we have a chance to show how good we are against a Tottenham team that did a great job in the cup match with Arsenal.
"If you can beat them 5-1 then you come to Manchester with a lot of motivation.
"But we have a good spirit and as we are at home it is important to please our supporters.
"We are playing some attractive football. We do not want to lose to Tottenham and go out of the cup."
