Chesterfield manager John Sheridan expects a handful of players to return from injury for the visit of Bournemouth.
Defender Simon Ford (knee), midfielder Jimmy Juan (calf) and forwards Alex Mendy (head), Craig Westcarr (ankle) and Dean Morgan (hamstring) have all been out for varying amounts of time recently, but are likely to be available for selection on Friday night.
However, one fresh injury concern is on-loan defender James Hurst. The West Brom teenager has been nursing an ankle problem this week and the club's medical staff are still assessing the damage.
Should Hurst be unavailable, Drew Talbot will almost certainly revert to right-back from the right wing.
The Spireites halted a dismal 17-game winless run in League One with a 2-1 victory at Colchester last weekend.
