Ian Holloway believes Blackpool's tie against Fleetwood in the last round proves the magic of the FA Cup is still alive.
Seasiders boss Holloway sees his side entertain npower League One high-flyers Sheffield Wednesday at Bloomfield Road this weekend having beaten Fylde-coast neighbours Fleetwood 5-1.
However, the Blue Square Bet Premier side gave Blackpool a few scares before succumbing late in the contest and the game caused Holloway to cast his mind back to last season's Barclays Premier League campaign.
"I think that cup tie that we had summed it all up really," he said. "It still is magic, but I had that every week didn't I?
"We had a top team, a Premier League team, home or away every week so I had to try and secure that because we weren't strong enough, as it proved at the end of the day.
"Whereas the other week it was a huge game, however you cut it, we all knew it. I was worried about it because if we'd have lost, which we could have have done, it wouldn't have been nice. I didn't play it down - I never did and I never would - because it was a huge day for everybody on the Fylde coast."
