Bunn's hard work is 'paying off'

Tue 26 Feb, 04:00 PM

Northampton goalkeeper Mark Bunn has again insisted that he is "happy to stay" at Sixfields after his latest match-winning performance. The 22-year-old pulled off a miraculous save in stoppage-time at Hartlepool last Friday to ensure a 1-0 win for the Cobblers and has constantly been linked with a move to the Championship.

But he said: "I'm happy to stay at Northampton. If we can move up and get involved in the play-offs, then great.

"I'm definitely happy to stay here. All the lads are great and I'm really enjoying being here. It's my second season and quite often your second season can be the hardest.

"But coach Jim Barron has been working very hard with me and he deserves a lot of the credit. We're working very hard on the training ground and it's really paying off for me at the moment."
