Norwich defender Alex Pearce has targeted an extended run in the Canaries' first team following his successful debut against Barnsley. The 19-year-old, on loan from Reading, was brought into the side by Glenn Roeder in place of Jason Shackell against the Tykes and rewarded the manager with a fine performance.
He said: "It was a nice start for me but the main thing that I wanted was a win.
"To have a clean sheet on my debut was a bonus but I need to carry on that form now.
"My aim is to get selected again next week, then put in another good performance and hopefully kick on from there."
