David Beckham has been named in England's starting line-up for Wednesday's friendly against France in Paris, where he will win his 100th cap.Beckham was omitted from Capello's first squad for the 2-1 friendly victory over Switzerland at Wembley in February due to fitness issues.
However, Capello has handed the LA Galaxy star the opportunity to rack up a century of international appearances from the start at the Stade de France.
It is understood Beckham will start on the right of a four-man midfield, with Owen Hargreaves and Gareth Barry in central roles and Joe Cole on the left.
Rio Ferdinand will captain the side from centre of defence alongside John Terry, who skippered the side under former boss Steve McClaren.
Wes Brown will begin the game at right-back and Ashley Cole gets the nod on the left-hand side.
David James can also now be considered England's undoubted number one as it is believed he will start in goal for the second successive game under Capello.
Reports also suggest Michael Owen will again miss out on a starting place under Capello as Wayne Rooney is set to lead the line with Steven Gerrard playing in a support role.
The line-up represents three changes from that which began the win over the Swiss, with Beckham, Terry and Hargreaves coming in at the expense of David Bentley, named as a substitute, Matthew Upson (injured) and Jermaine Jenas, who failed to make the squad.
England team in full: James; Brown, Ferdinand (c), Terry, A Cole; Beckham, Hargreaves, Barry, J Cole; Gerrard; Rooney.
