Braaten on target for reserves

Wed 26 Mar, 09:15 PM

Daniel Braaten sent out a reminder to Bolton manager Gary Megson on Tuesday with a goal for the reserves against Everton. The Trotters' second string ran out 3-2 winners over the Toffees, with Norway international Braaten opening the scoring with a well-taken strike on 12 minutes.

Bolton soon went further in front when German youth player Kevin Wolze netted with a curling free-kick.

Steven Morrison pulled a goal back for the hosts on the half-hour mark.

Bolton could have restored their two-goal advantage before the break when Nuno Valente upended Braaten in the box, but Robert Sissons missed the resulting penalty.

And in the second half, Everton levelled the scoreline as Morrison put away a spot-kick awarded for a foul on Lewis Codling.

But it was to be Bolton who won the game, with Wolze hitting the target again just two minutes from time with a deflected effort.
