Hull striker Fraizer Campbell was singled out for praise by England Under-21 coach Stuart Pearce after coming off the bench against Poland.Pearce handed debuts to Daniel Fox, Ryan Shawcross and Jamie O'Hara, while Tom Heaton, Campbell and Scott Dann all came off the bench to earn their first caps in the 0-0 draw at Molineux.
The performances of Campbell, who has starred in Hull's late promotion push this season, and man of the match Adam Johnson were among those highlighted by Pearce.
"When Fraizer Campbell came on he excited me a little bit," he said.
Reflecting on the game, Pearce added: "I think there were a lot of positives. Obviously one or two people were going to be a little bit nervous.
"It's their first cap and in one or two cases their first squad let alone their first cap."
