Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson has confirmed defender Sam Collins did not suffer broken ribs in Monday's 2-0 win over Yeovil as initially feared.The 30-year-old landed heavily following an aerial challenge early on against the Glovers but has now received some welcome news about the severity of his injury.

Collins, however, along with Richard Barker - who picked up a hamstring problem in the same - are major doubts for Saturday's home clash with Swansea.

"It's not as bad for Sam as we thought," said Wilson.

"We'll have to keep a close eye on him and see how he progresses because at the moment it's his breathing that is the problem."
