Barnsley defender Dennis Souza is expected to miss the weekend clash at Burnley in the Championship due to a cut eye.The Brazilian centre-half sustained the injury in Saturday's Yorkshire derby defeat to Sheffield United and was forced out of the action nine minutes before half-time.

Tykes manager Simon Davey said: "Dennis has been missing all week. We're still hoping he might be available, but he's got a cut right across his eyelid.

"He was also dazed and confused, so he's got to stay clear of any head contact. He's a big doubt."

Davey was more hopeful about striker Katode Odejayi's chances of shaking off an ankle injury.

He added: "Kayode should be ok, he trained on Tuesday."
