Gary Johnson will not add to Bristol City's squad ahead of the loan signings deadline - as he feels it would be disrespectful to his players. The Robins boss has placed his faith in the group of players that have taken the club to the brink of promotion to the Premier League.
"I haven't signed a loan player all season and I don't really want to start now," said Johnson. "I want to go with the existing squad. After all, this group of lads has done fantastically well to get us where we are.
"I have told them we are going to go through to the end of the season with the same group and it is up to them to prove they are good enough. To talk about loan players at this stage of the season is a little bit disrespectful to the players who have put us in this position.
"You also have to be careful not to upset the balance in the dressing room. We have a great spirit here and I wouldn't want to do anything to risk affecting that."
