Bradford manager Stuart McCall has told Tom Penfold he could have played his way into his plans for next season after raising his game.McCall has confirmed he will make sweeping changes during the summer after the Bantams' promotion push has failed to materialise, but Penford's recent displays have caught the manager's eye.
McCall told the club's official website: "Tom didn't really perform at a good level in pre-season and that set him back in my thinking.
"But he showed a really good attitude in training and I noticed a little spark which gave him that bit of confidence.
"He came to see me at Christmas time and I said that if he knuckled down the chance would come and I'm pleased he has taken it.
"Lads like Tom are dedicated to the job. He's a good professional and a good footballer. Now it's up to him to keep that consistency between now and the end of the season."
