Southend striker Alex Revell insists he will not rush in his rehabilitation from a hernia injury as he wants to be fighting fit on his return. The 24-year-old has been restricted to just three appearances since joining from Brighton in January but returned to action following an operation.
Revell is keen to get back into manager Steve Tilson's plans for the latter stages of the season, but only when his injury problems are well and truly behind him.
"It's going to take time and I have to be patient," said Revell. "There is a lot of hard work ahead and I'm going to be staying behind for extra work.
"There is no need to rush back because the team is doing well."
