Emile Mpenza's agent has confirmed that Leicester have made a bid to take the Manchester City striker on loan for the rest of the season.

The Foxes have been linked with a move for the Belgian for a while now and the 29-year-old's agent has now confirmed a move to the Walkers Stadium is one of a number of options Mpenza is considering.

"I have already been called several times by the people of Leicester," Rachid Tajmot told Het Laatste.

"But we are looking at all the options."

Mpenza is out of contract in the summer but he would automatically qualify for a new deal aif he reached 16 league games for the season. However, he is currently well short of that mark and is now unlikely to reach that figure.

Leicester now hope to seal a deal before the loan window closes on Thursday.
