David Bingham, Mark Birch, Mickael Buscher, Aurelien Collin, Chris Innes, Henry Makinwa, David Mathieson, Erik Paartalu and Michael Tait have all been released, meaning Gretna could be unable to field a team for their remaining SPL matches.
Gretna have also sacked youth players Mario Campagna, Jake Cunningham, Liam Cusack, Grant Easton, Nicholas Faulds, Conor Grant, Joseph Hughes, Callum McKinlay, Christopher Moffet, Jack Pattison, Alex Redfern, Ryan O'Hara and Daniel Smee.
The Borders club are now being run by administrators Wilson Field, who have disbanded the club's youth set-up and dismissed the club's six community coaches.
Gretna are already doomed to relegation in their first season in the top flight after losing 10 of their 16 points as punishment for going into administration with debts of about £4 million pounds earlier this month.
