Internazionale president Massimo Moratti has given coach Roberto Mancini a vote of confidence ahead of Saturday's game at Lazio.
The reigning Italian champions have suffered a disappointing few weeks, with a string of under-par performances in Serie A culminating in elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Liverpool.
A 2-1 defeat at home to third-placed Juventus last weekend allowed title rivals Roma to close the gap at the top of the table to four points with eight games to play.
But despite recent results - and speculation linking former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho with the Inter job - Moratti has insisted that Mancini has his full support.
He said: "I was not furious about the defeat [to Juventus]. I continue to believe that this is a winning group.
"Mancini should be calm, as I do not have any planned meetings with Mourinho."
Mancini announced his intention to step down as coach following the defeat against Liverpool, before reversing his decision shortly afterwards.
