The England seamer, dropped during the recent Test series in New Zealand, did his case for a recall no harm as Hampshire were bowled out for 212 in their second innings at Headingley.

Skipper Maddy put on 109 for the second wicket with Ian Bell (62) but Warwickshire needed several other contributions to complete a victory that seemed unlikely after Northants claimed a first-innings lead of 140.
