Mon 26 May, 04:30 PM

Bradford City boss Stuart McCall is set to beat a host of clubs in the race to land former Huddersfield Town midfielder Chris Brandon.Bradford-born Brandon has been released by the Terriers and a whole host of clubs have been vying for the 32-year-old's signature.

Rotherham, Leyton Orient and Chesterfield have been tracking Brandon, but McCall is set to seal a deal for the player who started his career with non-league Bradford Park Avenue.

Brandon, who can play centrally or out wide, is set to sign a two-year contract at Valley Parade within the next few days.

It will be McCall's first signing of the summer, but with the City boss admitting he has held talks with 10 players in the last few weeks - Brandon will not be the last of the new arrivals for the Bantams.
