Huddersfield chairman-elect Dean Hoyle is hopeful the upturn in season ticket sales will prove a "major selling point" to potential targets. The Terriers lowered their season ticket prices for the next campaign in celebration of their centenary year and have been rewarded with sales figures topping the 15,000 mark.
After missing out on promotion this season Hoyle is hopeful that potential capacity attendances for next season will contribute towards a League One promotion push next term.
He told the Huddersfield Examiner: "The atmosphere created by the last-minute rush before Friday's deadline was good, so matchdays should be excellent next season.
"The fact that we will have 15,000-plus home crowds next season is a major selling point to potential signings.
"I know that if I was a player, I'd much rather be performing in front of a big crowd than in a half-empty ground."
