Sweden warmed up for Euro 2008 with a 1-0 win over Slovenia in Gothenburg on Monday evening, but coach Lars Lagerback will have some tough decisions to make following the game.
Lagerback had hoped to use the game to determine whether or not to include Tobias Linderoth in his final squad for Austria and Switzerland, and the decision looked to be an easy one when the midfielder popped up with the only goal of the game just before half-time.
But the hard-working 29-year-old, who has not played all season as he recovers from a hip injury, was replaced by Anders Svensson at half-time.
Poland's preparations suffered a setback as they needed a late penalty to rescue a 1-1 draw against Macedonia on Monday.
Only Radoslaw Matusiak's spot-kick six minutes from time spared the Poles an embarrassing defeat after Goran Pandev had put the minnows ahead.
But with the likes of Germany and Croatia providing the opposition in Euro 2008, coach Leo Beenhakker will know his side must improve if they are to stand any chance of progressing beyond the group stage.
