Arsenal won the FA Youth Cup for the first time in eight years with a 6-2 aggregate victory over Liverpool.
The Gunners, leading 4-1 from the first leg, made sure of the trophy with a 2-1 second leg win at Anfield.
Sanchez Watt's first-half strike and a Liverpool own-goal ensured Arsenal's victory.
The Gunners had taken a stranglehold on the tie at the Emirates Stadium last Friday, with goals from Gilles Sunu, Jack Wilshere, Watt and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.
However Arsenal were not content to sit back and defend their sizeable first-leg lead and Watt, collecting a cross from Emmanuel-Thomas, and sprinted past Liverpool defenders Daniel Ayala, Jack Robinson and Joe Kennedy to score in the 25th minute.
Liverpool equalised on the night when striker Lauri Dalla Valle scored in the 52nd minute but their momentum petered out in the 70th minute when Watt's shot was turned into his own net by Ayala.

well done the gunners for winning the youth cup against liverpool.
ARSENAL ARE THE BEST TEAM EVER AND LIVERPOOL(OR SHALL I SAY LOSERPOOL) ARE THE SECOND WORST TEAM EVER FOR ME!!!! HAHAHA!!!
Cant even win a youth trophie.
well done i am not at this moment sure how many will make it through to our first team but do feel that the majority will be able to make a living out of Football
Jack willshire and Henri lansbury stood out in the second leg i thought
Good job!! Young gunners... Do the best again and again!!
NUMBER 8, you appear to have forgotten certain a team from MILAN, and it's 5 times. Now list who Man Utd have played over the years, are you biased or what?
This squad of youth players is something special and plenty from England too. Arsene Wenger's youth policy is coming good, ofcourse it takes longer than buying quality players for 30 million like Berbatov oh sorry he is @#$%.
At least United reached the final again, which is something I can only dream about nowadys. United played well below their very high standard. They will just have to settle for League Cup winners, Premier League winners, and World Club Champions winners, you have to say well done Manchester United for a triple winning season. Steven Gerrard LFC.
I played in that lfc should of won!!!!!!!!!!!

When you are the world's best football club you have fans all around the world, millions of them. Obviously not all of them can fit into the stadium to watch the game hence the reason those unlucky enough not to have a ticket will watch the match wherever they prefer. But I guess you Scouser's don't have this problem.

Eric the bin dipper: 20 years waiting to win the league. Liverpool great! what a joke.
It is interesting to read the blurbs from the Scouser's about how great they have been in europe etc etc YAWN. Here is a list of teams they beat to win the European Cup 4 times:
Dresden
Hamburg
Crusaders
Trabzonspor
St Etienne
FC Zurich
Oulun
Aberdeen
CSKA Sofia
Benfica (2)
Bilboa
Odense
Dynamo Bucharest
Bayern Munich
Borussia Munchen Gladbach (2)
They beat in the final:
1977 Gladbach 3-1
1978 Brugges 1-0
1981 Real Madrid 1-0
1984 Roma (on pens)
Liverpool were knocked out by:
1979 Nottm Forest 2-0 1st round
1980 Tbilisi 4-2 1st round
1982 CSKA Sofia 2-1 3rd round (QF)
1983 Widzew Lodz 4-3 3rd round (QF)
1985 Juventus 1-0 5th round (F)
When you study the FACTS you can see there is not as much glory as you shout about. FACT is you have not met many decent sides during the whole of Liverpool's entire European Cup history. There is only one greatest team in world football; the reigning English, European and World Champions: MANCHESTER UNITED. . . . read the blurb, these are FACTS!
mmoose. United's roll call on beating clubs include Aab Aalborg, Celtic, Villareal this year, so what's your stupid point!! I can tell U Liverpool win 57% of Champions League games, United 55%.
Oh dear number 8. Probably unaware that other teams used to be great teams too. It may not look much to you but if you remember the top teams in that era they are a little different to the ones gracing the top today.
FFS - Notts Forest won it twice so obviously the competition must be worthless.

Second again, The youth team getting used to the fact and preparing for a life of runners up spots when they progress to the senior team
Bladkin - when has the youth team ever had anything to do with the champions league, and just remind me what Liverpool (seniors) won this year
Yes - what a mighty win for the little boys - it really counts when you've got nothing else I suppose. Good luck in qualifying for the Champions League by the way. We'll just wait for the groups...
LIVERPOOL LOSERS AGAIN WELL DONE ARSENAL ,, LOSERPOOL AGAIN HA HA
I hope I can be a well-educated man's someone special. I have long legs, blond hairs and blue eyes. Im kind, well-educated, humurous and cute. Reach me out @ _________________ K is s Mi ll ionaire S C om ______________ I will reply to all mails. Handle------Lovelybutterfly999--------
