Greening opens door for Ferguson swoop

Tue 26 May, 12:20 PM

West Brom skipper Jonathan Greening would welcome the arrival of fellow midfielder Barry Ferguson from Rangers this summer.

The controversial former Rangers captain attended Albion's final home game of the season against Liverpool nine days ago and is much admired by Mowbray.

Greening said: "Barry Ferguson is the the kind of player who would make a big statement. He has played at the top level for a long, long time.

"The gaffer likes him a lot and, if he came to Albion, then it would be a real coup.

"He's an international player, (who has) won lots of trophies and is a good central midfielder. To get someone of his calibre would be great for us."

  5. Pt 5, You could stand to take some time away as well. Green tinted glasses.

Brown and a few other mankies were up drinking too. Pretty cowardly to let all the blame fall on two Rangers players.

Typical of the SFA. Rangers have their way in the league for so maay decades and now it's time for you to get it all evened up? You didn't deserve the league last year and if the association had done something to support Rangers with fixture restructuring then we would've won two in a row. We might've won Uefa as well, but Scotland did nothing for us, so you won it.
