Steven Reid has signed a permanent deal with West Brom and will complete a free transfer from Blackburn on July 1.
The versatile midfielder come defender spent the final two months of last season at The Hawthorns, making a notable contribution to Albion`s promotion-winning campaign at right-back.
Reid, 29, has had to deal with his fair share of injury problems in the past but, having passed a medical at the Black Country club, has penned a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months in the Baggies` favour.
West Brom fought off a host of competition for his signature, with Celtic also rumoured to be interested in his services, and he becomes their second arrival of the summer after Gabriel Tamas also made his loan move permanent earlier this month.
Head coach Roberto Di Matteo said: "We`re delighted Reidy has agreed to join us on a permanent basis. He made a big impact last season - both on and off the field. He was a consistent performer and also great in the dressing room.
"Reidy`s a really positive character and you can never have too many of those in your squad. Having spent the last six or so years in the Premier League he knows the division inside out and that kind of experience could prove invaluable."
