Gillingham winger Aaron Brown is on the brink of leaving the League Two club after enduring a largely unhappy 12 months at Priestfield.The 28-year-old arrived from Swindon last summer but made just 15 appearances for the club, and only one since November after falling out of favour with manager Mark Stimson.

Stimson is also looking to offload defender Efe Sodje and is confident that deals can be reached soon with the pair.

"Aaron doesn't want to play for me," he told KentOnline. "It's not a problem and at least he's been honest.

"He's trying to sort something out with the chairman.

"At the end of the week I might have some news on both of them. I don't think we're a million miles away."
