Bournemouth defender Jason Pearce insists he is eager to commit his future to the relegated club ahead of their new League Two challenge. The former Portsmouth trainee was thought to have extended his stay at Dean Court until 2010, but a deal has not been finalised.
However, he told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: "I'm keen to re-sign and show my commitment to the club, as well as them showing their commitment to me.
"We've kept most of the team, the nucleus, especially the team that did well towards the end of last season.
"Sam Vokes has gone and my centre-half partner Josh (Gowling) has gone and we played well together. But hopefully we'll have a good team."
