Charlie MacDonald could be on his way to Brentford after Southend accepted an improved offer for the transfer-listed striker's services.The Bees have finally succeeded with their third bid for the 27-year-old, who rejected a move to Morecambe earlier this month.

MacDonald endured a difficult debut season with the Shrimpers after signing from Blue Square Premier side Ebbsfleet United, scoring five goals in 34 appearances, and he will now discuss personal terms over a possible move to Griffin Park.
