MUNICH, Germany (AFP) - German first division side Bayern Munich on Thursday ended their association with misfit Paraguayan midfielder Julio dos Santos.

Santos, 25, whose contract was due to run out in 2009, failed to impress the club's bosses, making only five appearances in the German top flight.

In 2007 he was loaned out to German club Wolfsburg and Spanish side Almeria, before heading to Brazil's Gremio Porto Alegrense earlier this year.
