La Liga - Barca chase Keirrison as Toure extends deal

European champions Barcelona have made a big-money offer for Palmeiras striker Keirrison as Yaya Toure commits his future to the club.

According to Brazilian media, Barcelona have bid 15 million euros for the 20-year-old.

"The player won't be considered for Sunday's match against Santos and will remain out of the team until the situation is resolved," the Sao Paulo-based club said.

Keirrison, who was playing for Coritiba when he finished as top scorer in the 2008 Brazilian championship with 20 goals, joined former Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo's Palmeiras in January.

Meanwhile midfielder Toure has extended his contract by a year until June 2012.

Barca have also increased the value of the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international's buyout clause to 100 million euros from 60 million euros.

I can't betray my mother, because she is catalan­ and she loves barcelona, and I remember when I was­ young my mom would watch Barcelona play, and since than­ I became a barcelona fan, sinc a little kid, but since­ I'm living in madrid and born to a madrid father I­ love madrid too. Anyways I love barca a little more,­ because I was a barca fan first.

    let us face the fact that barca next year will have so­ many problems
    1_ age problem, henry will be 32, puyol­ also will be 32, xavi will be 30 and others like­ busques is 21, pique too 21,while bojan 19(it is either­ to young or old)
    2_some players may leave such as­ eto'o, silvinho, abidal, kaita milito and­ marques
    3_ the players in market are very expensive­ thanx to perez, hard to buy any player.
    4_ the opponent­ are getting stroger, by the way i mean all the teams­ not all real, but it will be hard to be in top four in­ la liga there are strong teams like valencia,­ villareal, sevilla and athletico madrid
    ofcourse real­ madrid is number one contender for the title.

    barca in their history have never paid 40 mil euro­ for single player
    ronaldinho cost 28 mil euro
    deco cost­ 25mil euro
    henry and eto each with 24 mil eurro
    the­ most expensive transfer in club history was daneil­ alves 32 mil euro
    do you know why barca didn't sell­ eto?
    coz all the strikers in market are more than 40­ mil euro, barca couldn't bring this amount of­ money
