New Wycombe recruit Lewis Montrose believes his previous experience on loan at three Football League clubs will allow him to thrive at Adams Park.
The 20-year-old became Peter Taylor's first capture of the summer on Wednesday when he agreed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted Wanderers after his contract at Wigan expired.
The midfield utility player is hoping that the first-team football he enjoyed at Cheltenham, Rochdale and Chesterfield over the past two seasons will hold him in good stead at Wycombe.
He told Wanderers World: "My loan spells offered me good experience. Playing first-team football is a lot different to reserve-team football and hopefully I can put that experience into practice next season.
"I also gained a little bit of experience when I played at Wigan. I played a few games and although it was mainly in the reserves I did make a couple of first-team appearances.
"I'm delighted to be at the club and I'm looking forward to progressing my career at Wycombe Wanderers."
