Lovenkrands keen on Sunderland

Fri 26 Jun, 03:57 PM

Denmark international Peter Lovenkrands has hinted he could cross the divide between Newcastle and Sunderland.

The 29-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at St James' Park on a short-term contract, has been linked with the Black Cats in recent days.

He told Danish newspaper BT: "Sunderland is certainly an interesting club. The city is near Newcastle, where we have settled fine, and it would be attractive to stay in northern England."

He added: "I would not mind to continue to play in England and particularly in the Premier League."

  7. You have as much chance of promotion back to the Premiership as you do to being relegated to League One mate.

  8. leondolan's post number 73 needs a bit of attention. Robert Stephenson (not Stevenson) died in 1859 and the Tyne Bridge wasn't opened until 1928. Assuming that this is the man you were talking about, my guess is that he didn't have much input. You are probably confusing it with the High Level Bridge (easily done; they're so similar) which WAS the work of the great man. Also it's "they're" and not "there" but keep trying ... it's the only way to improve.
