Denmark international Peter Lovenkrands has hinted he could cross the divide between Newcastle and Sunderland.
The 29-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at St James' Park on a short-term contract, has been linked with the Black Cats in recent days.
He told Danish newspaper BT: "Sunderland is certainly an interesting club. The city is near Newcastle, where we have settled fine, and it would be attractive to stay in northern England."
He added: "I would not mind to continue to play in England and particularly in the Premier League."

bearphoto.....better club as in better run club, would not disagree at the moment(we are a shambles at the minute, and only an idiot would disagree),anyway "repeat facts" how many times you been in the championship compared to us?? how many times you played in europe compared to us??what are your crowd averages compared to ours??how many years you spent in the prem compared to us??better run club maybe, but you will never be a better club.
The record isn't stuck, its set to repeat, so that you deluded geordies remember who is the better club.

safcalsftm....just responding to the mackems stuck record drivel.
newcastleian1, or is it cameron w(?), anyway, do what cw says and stop spouting the same boring drivel, it wasn't even funny the first time.
panoptes....is that the great tyne bridge what blunderland are using on their 2018 world cup bid??? pitiful.
lots of @#$%` , i love it . N.U.F.C. (stands for No.Use.F****ing. Crying). any one would think they`ve been religated . OOOPS they have , what was it KEEGAN said? oh i`ll love it, i`ll F***ing love it . HA HA , FTM for ever
You have as much chance of promotion back to the Premiership as you do to being relegated to League One mate.
leondolan's post number 73 needs a bit of attention. Robert Stephenson (not Stevenson) died in 1859 and the Tyne Bridge wasn't opened until 1928. Assuming that this is the man you were talking about, my guess is that he didn't have much input. You are probably confusing it with the High Level Bridge (easily done; they're so similar) which WAS the work of the great man. Also it's "they're" and not "there" but keep trying ... it's the only way to improve.
bearphoto...championship!..you know that league your team has been in on numerous occasions, 1st and last for us fella.
What league are Newcastle in again?
FTM
bearphoto...yes blunderland is a shithole, not sure about who is the better team(both @#$%)but yes, you are in the prem league, well spotted...smb
Sunderland might be a shithole, but we have a better football team and we are in the Premiership.

just read google answers , city of newcastle had 1.3 million tourists visiting last year , sunderland had 20,880 ! and i learn today there using pictures of the great tyne bridge , built by geordie stevenson , to help in their bid for 2018 !!! the shame of it all ! are the likes of impact and his dirty shellsuit clad friends in the real world or what !!
I absolutely love the fact that Newcastle have been relegated, and pretty much most of the country are laughing about your relegation aswell.
FTM
bearphoto....i suppose you have to get your little kicks from somewhere!!
Good to see the yawning means your getting sick of Sunderland fans gloating about your relegation, which makes us even happier (big smile).
FTM
bearphoto....no we did not celebrate as if we were safe,we celebrated because we won!!your other remark is a day to late(big yawn)
Yeah thats because you celebrated as if you were already safe, how did that work out for you? I was checking the Premier League main news page and couldn't find Newcastle in the list of clubs, then i realized that they had been relegated hahahaha
