Celtic manager Tony Mowbray should discover over the weekend whether he has been successful in luring Marc-Antoine Fortune to Parkhead.
Fortune played under Mowbray during a successful loan spell at West Brom and the Hoops boss is reportedly keen to make the forward his first signing. But he faces competition from Barclays Premier League outfit Hull for the player's signature.
Fortune's agent Michael Manuello said: "It's now a straight-forward choice between two clubs for Marc-Antoine - Celtic and Hull City. I'd expect a decision by the end of the week."
He added: "No personal deal has been struck with either side but I can say that we're very close."

29 - probably, Nichola!! They never got as far as Spain last year, so he sort of makes up for missing out on bringing one back from there as a souvenir!! Do they sell donkeys on the beaches in Kaunas??.. Is there any beaches in Kaunas in the first place?? LOL!!
#27 sold a pup? More like sold a donkey!!!!
25,26,27....Quality
26 - I think your board mistook his name as DANIEL PRODDY! They signed him up on the strength of his name, not realising that the RC half of Glasgow refer to them as PRODDY DOGS. This guy was in actual fact, A DOG, athletically speaking! By definition, you were SOLD A PUP!! Heehee!!
#24 LOL!!!!! We kinda had the same situation with a certain D.Prodan,we were told he was a top class footballer, unfortunately no one could confirm this theory as we couldnt locate any 1 who had actually seen him kick a baw!!!
23 - you never wondered what happened to Benny when Crossroads ended? He's metamorphosed into PAUL G, and has a full-time job talking pish and contradicting himself on here!!
11 - Actually, METZ old bhoy.. we were told we would be signing RAFAEL, and we signed him on the false premise that he was a Mutant Ninja Turtle! Indeed, a hero in a hard-shell, no less! Once he signed, somebody noticed that (a) he wasn't in actual fact a mutant, a ninja, or even a turtle; and (b) he spelled his name in German, thinking he could fool us all, but since we have played extensively in Europe (including Germany), his cover was blown when he was asked if it was pronounced SHYDE, or SHYTE!! LOL!!
Paul G does make you smile, doesn't he?

Pt15...I think we need to go for Fletcher to do the work that he does and let McDonald be the penalty box sniffer...does Fortune work his socks off
Just have to say it Tommy..... HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!
Seen him 3 times season gone down here Doch... Puts me in mind of Dublin a bit, he does seem to be a strong lad though... Still the silly money rules just now and I don't think he's a 3 million player. For the same price you could get Gary O' Conner and Fletcher
9#-i hope so.
