Celtic manager Tony Mowbray should discover over the weekend whether he has been successful in luring Marc-Antoine Fortune to Parkhead.
Fortune played under Mowbray during a successful loan spell at West Brom and the Hoops boss is reportedly keen to make the forward his first signing. But he faces competition from Barclays Premier League outfit Hull for the player's signature.
Fortune's agent Michael Manuello said: "It's now a straight-forward choice between two clubs for Marc-Antoine - Celtic and Hull City. I'd expect a decision by the end of the week."
He added: "No personal deal has been struck with either side but I can say that we're very close."

angeliquetarot...
his scorin record wasn't very good, but was kenny millers?
but the chances he created for players, amazin, exactly what celtic need up front
pt1 moby has around £15m to spnd
hes not a terrable signing but over rated hes not worth £3m he would be abetter deal for around £1.5m
wba have no chance of signing him, enjoy life in the championship baggies.
Paul G ur an idiot...sounds terrible????? U need to go watch a game of footie m8 and then judge players not just think there rotten because they sound it with the guff u read in the papers

"Fortune played under Mowbray during a successful loan spell at West Brom."
Really?
I wouldn't call 5 goals in 18 starts a success.
More like mediocrity!
Never seen the guy...but I would take Fletcher 1st.....JVOH fee will pay for this
Wouldnae mind the signing but what funds are available for Mowbray??
For whatever is available i'm sure we would do better to get two strikers for the money...!!
