Port Vale's teenage goalkeeper Daniel Lloyd-Weston hopes to push on this season after signing a new one-year contract with the club.
The 17-year-old joined from West Brom a year ago and made the bench several times last season when first-choice keeper Joe Anyon was injured.
Lloyd-Weston told the club's website: "I am really pleased, it's a great honour, the future is bright for me and I think we can go far this season.
"Now it is time to get some experience under my belt and push on and improve myself and see what comes of it.
"I have got to push Joe Anyon and (second-choice stopper) Chris Martin, but we all push each other anyway."
