Bees at the double

Sun, 26 Jul 14:31:41 2009

Goals from veteran striker Paul Furlong and Albert Adomah helped Barnet to a 2-0 friendly victory over a youthful Charlton XI at Underhill.

Furlong, 40, opened the scoring in the 25th minute with an individual effort following a mistake from Addicks defender Kelly Youga.

Bees goalkeeper Jake Cole was in impressive form and the closest Charlton came to levelling matters was when Stuart Fleetwood hit a post after 71 minutes.

The match was settled 10 minutes from time when Adomah bundled home from close range.

  1. Just been on Charlton Official website & what do we find, Fortune playing for Sheffield United on trial, and Mouttakill playing for Pompey also on trial. So what are we left with ? precisely the same as the start of last season, one inexperienced Centre back 'Mambo'
It gets more worrying by the day, no defensive cover and yet another @#$% up in that dept. at Barnet, and an attack that can't score, apart from 'Dicko' who didn't feature anyway. Things are desperate to say the least, it definately looks like being last season's Youth team who will start on August 8th, with a few others making up the numbers, Is nobody bothered what happens to our team anymore ???
