Europa League - Luisao extends Benfica stay

Brazil defender Luisao has extended his Benfica contract until 2013.

The 28-year-old Benfica captain, who scored in the 5-0 Europa League demolition of Everton last week, has played at the club since 2003.

"Everything is agreed for Luisao for an additional two years on his contract," the Lisbon club's president Luis Filipe Vieira said.
