Ambrose: We should have won

Crystal Palace winger Darren Ambrose was disappointed not to beat Nottingham Forest at the weekend, especially as he thought he had netted the winner.

Ambrose managed to latch onto Alan Lee's flick only for Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp to save superbly and keep the score at 1-1.

"I was off celebrating again for that chance in the second half," he told the Croydon Advertiser. "He was going the wrong way and I managed to toe it on target but he's made a fantastic save.

"Overall I thought we deserved the three points. Personally I enjoyed myself. I played on the right and I like to drift in and get on the ball in the middle but I did enjoy myself.

"I had the beating of the full-back in the second half and I got a few crosses in and the goal was a bonus.

"But as I said before we're disappointed we didn't come away with the three points. It was a good game in the first half but we edged it in the second half and we should have got all three points."
