Late fitness checks for Everton

Mon, 26 Oct 14:03:40 2009

Everton will make late fitness checks on four of their injured players ahead of the Carling Cup fourth-round tie at Tottenham.

But Dutch defender John Heitinga, who limped out of Sunday's defeat at Bolton with cramp, will be fit to play at White Hart Lane.

Everton were missing 11 senior players at the Reebok, and only Ayegbeni Yakubu (heel), Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (groin), Joseph Yobo (head) and Leighton Baines (calf) are likely to be in contention from that list.

  2. Lack of depth? What the hell do you expect for a team who have lost enough players to injury to make a starting squad?
