Charlton manager Phil Parkinson believes Leeds' defeat at Millwall is good for the rest of League One.
The Addicks boss saw his side draw 1-1 with neighbours Gillingham at the weekend, leaving them one point and one place behind league leaders Leeds.
"I think it's good for the rest of the division that they lost," said Parkinson. "Simon (Grayson, Leeds manager) will be the first to admit in recent weeks a lot of things have gone for them.
"But you've just got to take your luck when it comes and capitalise on it, which they've done.
"(Against Millwall), for whatever reason, it wasn't their day but they're a strong side and I'm sure they'll be one along with many other teams competing for those top two positions."

Skating, i think you must have a bad memory.Leeds 0 V Charlton 0 3/10/09. As i said Leeds one of above average sides, there are about 6 teams in that group. Unlike you Leeds fans i am not blinkered to my teams ability. Must admit i thought Bristol Rovers would give you a much harder game but onwards and upwards. Also Skating i think you will find it very hard going when you come to the Valley, as history has shown with Leeds in the last few years, when it comes down to the final bit Leeds find it hard to cut it.
marching on together we're going see you win we are so proud we shout it LOUD we love you LEEDS, LEEDS,LEEDS.
Well I'm glad you set us straight Karen...
That 4-0 win really showed us how average our Leeds team is.
What you fail to mention is that you came and lost at Leeds. I agree that there have been some things going our way, such as Norwich's defensive idiocy, but at the same time, what more do you want us to do to prove our calibre? We're top of the league, we've beaten all our closest rivals and we have one of the most prolific strikers in Beckford, not to mention a high scoring midfielder in Bradley Johnson. If there has been any weakness in our side, it is our that we yet again let Millwall get under our skin. Winning titles isn't just about winning, it's about not losing and getting victories even when you don't play your best, which is exactly what charlton, norwich, bristol and the like are unable to do.
If you don't think we look that great you should be worried, what's gonna happen when we hit full speed?
We'll find out at the valley I guess!
Typical comments from Leeds fans. Your team have been riding there luck of late and at Millwall the luck came to the end. Leeds are like about the other 6 clubs in the hunt for promotion, just a cut above the rest in the division. Lets see if you Leeds fans are so bullish when you come to The Valley in April, your last away game. When we played you 3 weeks ago at Elland Road, you road your luck then and like us, Norwich and Southampton every other team wants to beat you. Unlike you Leeds fans, i actualy think it will be the team that holds ite nerve in the end. Best footballing side in this division is Huddersfield. Come on Rovers tonight and well said Phil.
One point in the Bag is better than 3 points in the future!
ALAN could'nt agree more mate. Still got that game in hand, just keep looking up at us at the top Phil...
