Morgan Schneiderlin believes Southampton stood up to a "big test" against MK Dons and insists the team's only focus is their next game.
The French midfielder played an important part in Southampton 3-1 victory at the weekend - their fifth successive in all competitions - and has already set his sights on the trip to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
"At the start of the game we knew this would be a really tough game for us, a really big test," he told Saints TV.
"We showed to everyone we were ready for that style of the game. I think we did alright. We showed great ability and we showed we were stronger."
He added: "We are very confident. We really enjoyed [the game] and we'll enjoy [Sunday] but by Monday we have to focus on the next game.
"We have to work like we worked the last four weeks and, like the gaffer says, it's all about the next game in football."
