Ipswich forward Jon Stead has pledged to stay and fight for his place at Portman Road after scoring his first goal of the season.
Stead came off the bench to rescue a point in the 1-1 draw at Plymouth and believes talk of a move to Derby is wide of the mark.
He said: "There's been a lot of speculation around. However, I know there are two strikers' places up for grabs here, not just one, because no-one has been scoring that many goals."
He added: "That's why I want to stay and fight for my place in the team. No striker has nailed it down yet.
"It's been a stop-start season for me. I've been way off my best and it was frustrating not to even be in the squad for the two previous games.
"But I'm also aware this was my first goal of the season."

Stead was always a lightweight when he played for us at Bramall Lane. Glad to see the back of him. Don't rely on him to get you climbing the table.
