Preston boss Alan Irvine admits he could return to Everton in a bid to acquire players on loan from the Premier League club.Irvine quit his position as assistant manager at Goodison Park last week to take the helm at Deepdale as successor to Paul Simpson.
And, with his Preston side engulfed in a fight against relegation from the Championship, Irvine said he may ask Toffees boss David Moyes for a helping hand in the new year.
"It is possible," he said. "There is that opportunity - if we can afford them.
"Obviously getting players on loan from Premier League teams is great but we might not be able to afford their wages.
"I might have to go cap in hand to David if I want to borrow one. But I have certainly got a nice list of them."
