Bradford manager Stuart McCall is ready to block future bids by Jamaica to play Donovan Ricketts and Omar Daley in international friendlies. The Bantams pair arrived back at Valley Parade an hour before kick-off ahead of Saturday's visit of Stockport after a mad motorway dash by joint-chairman Mark Lawn.
Goalkeeper Ricketts and winger Daley, who had played for the Reggae Boyz against Guatemala on Wednesday, missed their connection flight in Miami and after further problems did not arrive back in Manchester until 12.40pm on Saturday.
McCall said: "I don't like stopping anyone from going to internationals because nobody ever stopped me with Scotland, but for friendly internationals it's a long way to go.
"Jamaica have got a new FA and a new coach and I couldn't begrudge them playing because they want to impress and be in the World Cup squad for South Africa.
"But I'll definitely have to think about it for friendlies next time. I'd like to think they won't be that many more."
