Stern John has joined Ipswich Town on a one-month loan from Crystal Palace.

FOOTBALL Stern John - 0

The Trinidad and Tobago striker will join up with Roy Keane's men ahead of their away trip to Cardiff City on Saturday, Palace said in a press release.

His loan ends on December 29 and it will be the second time he has worked with Keane, who he played under at Sunderland.

John, 33, recently returned from an elbow dislocation that kept him out for three months, and has so far failed to find the net this in seven games for Palace.

He previously played for Nottingham Forest, Coventry City, Birmingham City and Southampton.

  1. Abigail No.8. If your name is Dave Quinn why do you call yourself Abigail? Is there something you're not telling us? Do you have a dressing up box? Barbies rather than GI Joe?

  2. This guy is just a stop gap til January, then we'll buy someone who will build with the team.
Yes, John isn't going to set the league alight, but he is a strong front man.
One has to wonder why Priskin was purchased. Keane doesn't seem too 'keen' on him and has not started him regularly at all...

  3. Keane is going to turn this around i have been to every game this season home/away! Bet you guys on here never go to portman road thats why our gates have gone down to 20'000 funny how many part time town fans are about and funny if we where doing ok every home game would have an avg gate of 26'000 fans! Your not fans your better off staying away you losers go to colchester its only 10 mins away and they could do with some fans! KEANO'S BLUE AND WHITE ARMY. DAVE QUINN A TRUE BLUE NOT A PART TIME ONE.

  4. Remember you Tractor Boys. How many of Ferguson's ex players have properly succeeded as managers? Roy Keane will not bring you success. Next time, try and find a proper manager. What would Sir Bobby say?

  5. For a team that is struggling to score goals this is is an obvious solution!?!?!***?
I just can't understand Keane's logic. He has not started with the same strikers all season. Just how are they supposed to gel in one game , then out. Does he really know where he is going with this once proud club with fantastic support.

I think that the Club will need to bring back Burley. A proven record at the Club. Come on swallow pride and let's get started.

A still ( just about) loyal supporter & SEASON TICKET HOLDER!!!

  6. Stern John - since playing in England he has scored 86 in 322 games, not exactly prolific.
However, his latest set of figures are worse with just 26 goals in 102 matches.
A goal every four games!!! And he's 33 now! God help us if he is supposed to be the answer!
