Darlington have signed another Chesterfield player on loan, with defender Danny Hall joining the club just before the deadline.

Hall, 26, primarily a centre-back but a versatile defender, follows Spirerites team-mate Paul Harsley and Leeds defender Andrew Milne to the Northern Echo Arena and like them will stay with the Quakers until January 2.

Hall played for non-league Stalybridge Celtic before joining Oldham as a trainee. He had a short loan spell with Scarborough before eventually moving to Shrewsbury.

He signed for Gretna in the Scottish Premier League in January 2008, but was a victim of their winding-up order before signing for Chesterfield.
