Chesterfield have signed striker Davide Somma on loan from Leeds.

The South African, who has scored four goals in as many reserve-team appearances for United this season, will remain with the League Two club until January 2.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the club's official website: "Davide has done well since coming in at the start of the season. He's scored a few goals and he's been around the first team squad.

"Hopefully this will give him an opportunity to be more involved in a first team environment. The experience will be good for both Davide and the club."
