On-loan Preston midfielder Michael Tonge is predicting a tasty affair in Monday's crunch derby clash with rivals Blackpool.

The sworn enemies will cross swords at Bloomfield Road with North End aiming to bounce back after a run of four Coca-Cola Championship matches without victory.

Tonge made an impressive debut for Alan Irvine's men in Monday's 1-0 home defeat at Newcastle and is now looking forward to the eagerly-awaited derby.

The Stoke midfielder told Press Association Sport: "It will be a real humdinger on Monday against Blackpool.

"It will be a real intimidating atmosphere because the fans are very close to the pitch.

"Sheffield derbies are very intense but they're all the same. Both sets of fans are desperate to win and I'm sure Monday will be no different."
