Brown in no rush to sell Collins

Sun 27 Jan, 05:01 PM

Hull manager Phil Brown has told unsettled defender Sam Collins he is going nowhere until he brings in some reinforcements.Hartlepool are believed to have enquired about the 30-year-old, but with Stephen Wright's move from Sunderland halted by injury, Brown is not prepared to sell.

"Hartlepool have made a bid for Sam and there would be an opportunity for him to go there," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I will emphasise, though, that any deal will depend on us strengthening our own options.

"I wouldn't build anyone's hopes up of players coming into the club before next week."
