Sunderland boss Roy Keane is desperate to add to his squad before the transfer window shuts this week and could move for Charlton's Andy Reid.Manager Keane has made it no secret he is on the lookout for a midfielder to help bolster his Sunderland side as they bid to stay in the Premiership.
Reid has been impressing for Charlton as they fight to gain promotion back into the Premiership and the Irishman's performances seem to have caught the eye of Keane.
A bid in the region of £2.5million could be enough to tempt Alan Pardew to sell the winger as he too looks to strengthen his squad and the injection of funds could be too good to turn down.
Earlier in the transfer window Sunderland had a bid for Reading's Stephen Hunt rejected and there are reports Sunderland could make an even bigger offer for the Royals' midfielder before the window shuts.
Also, Keane has sent scouts to watch Heerenveen's 20-year-old midfielder Michael Bradley, who has impressed since joining the Dutch club from the MLS two years ago, and could make a move this week.
